Fishing boat runs onto rocks entering Seahouses Harbour

Photographs of fishing boat which ran aground entering Seahouses Harbour on Monday, 17th December, 2001

The fishing vessel Rose Of Sharon was entering Seahouses Harbour in rough sea conditions, when it struck rocks.

As she ran onto the rocks the rudder and propellor where smashed, and she was declared a wreck by the insurance assessors and abandoned.

She now lies off the south breakwater, firmly wedged on the rocks, and remains at the mercy of the sea.
