The Zytglogge has an astronomical clock and some figures which make a small display each hour. It shows not only the time but also the day of the week, position of the planets and the signs of the zodiac.
The Zytglogge was for a long time the hub of the Bernese empire. It was from this clock that all clocks in Bern were set.
