The ship is powered by four Rolls Royce gas turbines: two Olympus engines give a maximum speed of over 30 knots and two Tyne engines are used for cruising.
The length of this "stretched" Type 42 Destroyer is 142 metres and the displacement about 4500 tonnes.
The ships motto is "Prorsum" which means Onwards.
