He planed the amphibious operations in North Africa, Sicily and Italy.
On January 2nd 1945 Sir Bertram Ramsey were among those who died when a Lockheed Hudson climbed, banked, and dived into the ground on taking off from Toussus-le-Noble en route to Brussels, Belgium.
